What is "SEL?"

SEL stands for social/emotional learning. Research shows that fostering strong social/emotional skills positively impacts academic performance across the disciplines. Children carry social/emotional skills with them throughout their lives to help them with self management, self-awareness, building relationships, expressing empathy and making responsible decisions. 

 

Pip and Charley can serve as a stepping stone to expose children to the importance of developing social/emotional skills, and to show guardians/educators how to teach these skills effectively.
